Capturing Creativity: EVOLV3 Photography Workshop at Horizon International School
On Friday, 13th October, Horizon International School's EVOLV3 program proudly hosted an exceptional workshop focused on the art of photography, delivered by experts from Ignite Create Academy. Bringing together 18 passionate students from Year 4 to Year 9, the workshop offered a creative playground for aspiring young photographers to hone their skills. The day was filled with hands-on activities, from understanding the nuances of lighting and composition to capturing emotion through the lens.
This immersive experience was more than just a lesson in photography; it was a celebration of collective creativity. Students collaborated seamlessly across different year groups, bringing fresh perspectives to the table. Their enthusiasm and collaboration helped to forge new friendships while creating captivating images from around the school grounds.
All the students involved took lots of interesting photos throughout the day and were all competing to have their photograph selected as the winning colour and black and white contrast shot of the day. It was a difficult decision as everyone put a lot of thought and creativity into the day but the winning photographers were Reyansh Vij Y7, Hania Ismail Y4 and Laila Oweida who will now have their photographs shared on the Canon website.
Following on from this workshop we are thrilled to announce that, all participants are invited to join the weekly Saturday School at Horizon English School, to continue their artistic journey in photography.
Additionally, they have all been invited to join a Photo walk with Ignite Create Academy, powered by Canon, in DIFC Dubai on Saturday 29th October 2023. The workshop is free to sign up and here is the link if your child is interested in pursuing their photography passion in a vibrant Dubai location.
