HOW IT WORKS
Developing experience with product development, entrepreneurship and teamwork.
In the F1 in Schools Challenge, student teams use CAD/CAM software to collaborate and design miniature compressed air-powered cars from F1 model blocks. They embark on a research, design, manufacturing, testing and racing journey. The challenge extends beyond engineering, encouraging students to manage budgets, seek sponsorship, and hone their physics, aerodynamics, branding, marketing, teamwork and other related skills. The challenge fosters a competitive and exciting environment where students practically apply STEM concepts.
THE BENEFITS FOR OUR STUDENTS
Shaping the engineers, leaders and champions of tomorrow.
Engaging in the F1 in Schools Challenge transforms students' lives by making STEM subjects accessible and captivating. It broadens their horizons, ignites their interest in engineering, and opens doors to careers in various fields.
Students gain practical knowledge in multiple disciplines and valuable life skills such as leadership, teamwork, financial strategy and media proficiency. Moreover, participation in the challenge connects students with a global community. This makes it an unparalleled platform for promoting Formula 1 and empowering the youth with the skills they need to thrive in a rapidly changing world.
Many of these students have now signed up for a 10-week training programme led by the personal trainers from the newly opened Studio Republik. These sessions started on Wednesday 15th January 2020 and will update you on the students’ progress throughout the term.
